CALL FOR ARTISTS

2024 Oak Street Community Art Event

Event: 2024 Oak Street Community Art Event

Date: Saturday, May 4, 2024

Time: 3:00-8:00 p.m.

Location: Oak Street Church

502 Oak Street

Silverton, Oregon 97381

THE CALL

Oak Street Church is accepting submissions for its tenth annual Community Art

Event. We are inviting artists of all backgrounds and ages (professional, amateur,

followers of Jesus or not) to express themselves in a creation that is meaningful to

them.

While we have had themed shows in the past, this year we hope to encourage the many artists in our community to submit something that they’re proud of. We trust that a collection of our local artists’ best work will display well together and we invite attendees to appreciate the talent, skill, and wealth of creativity that our community has to offer.

GUIDELINES

-A photo of the work must be submitted to oakstchurch@gmail.com by May 1st.

-The work itself, once accepted, must be dropped off at Oak Street Church on May 3rd

and should be picked up within a week of the event.

-Artists may only submit one piece of art.

-The piece must be fully finished, dry or spray-fixed (if applicable), and ready to hang.

-Because this is an all-ages event, we request that artists avoid content that is

graphically violent or sexual; work of this nature will not be accepted.

-Oak St. Church will determine what pieces are accepted.

-Paint, ink, graphite, carving, sculpture, mixed-media, textiles/fibers, pottery,

photography and poetry that is hang-able are all welcome art forms. (If you work in

something that isn’t listed just ask!)

-Oak St. Church is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged art (but we do our

best to keep everything safe).

THE EVENT

The Oak Street Community Art Event is an annual celebration of art, music, spirituality,

and community. As always, there will be great food and conversation as well as live

Music.
