Greetings! Here is this week’s message, I want to be clear that I am not saying both sides of every issue are valid. I am saying that usually people who are opposed to one another believe that they are in the right and often one side is better than the other. The only way we bring people together is to recognize in ourselves the tendency toward arrogance and certainty when humility and compassion are the tools we need to reconcile. Evil things are still evil, but “evil” people are just like us and in need of the healing and belonging that come with the love of God. Have a nice day!
What are the dangers of assuming that my view is God’s view?
When am I most tempted to assume that God is on my side?
Who am I most likely to assume God isn’t with?
How might my life change if I took the time to ask God for direction?
How might my life change if I gave people I disagree with the benefit of the doubt and trusted that they are acting with the best of intentions (even if their actions are repulsive to me)?
